Musicland Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
Does the model of buying retail companies for their real estate apply to in-line tenants as well as box tenants? It will be interesting to see now that Musicland Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Although they have Media Play boxes, most of their Sam Goody and Suncoast Motion Picture stores are in-line. Sun Capital is the major investor in Musicland and they have been involved in other retail/real estate deals. The true value in these deals depends on the details of the leases. Small changes in wording have a huge impact on value.
I have been going crazy trying to call and find out where to use my Media Play gift certificates and finally I found out about you.
I would like some information on where I can redeem these gift certificates. I do understand that Media Play went out of business and a few of the other places aren't really doing that well either, but I don't feel like I should loose my gift certificates because of their failure.
They were birthday and xmas gifts, now I have no clue what to do with them. Please send me some information as soon as possible and maybe how to file for a refund if they can't be used.
